Projects
Selected lab reports, technical notes, and independent studies across physics, mathematics, and related fields.
Analysis of Factors Associated with Superconductor Critical Temperatures
STA302 final research project. Multiple linear regression on cuprate-based superconductors (UC Irvine ML Repository) to identify electronic and entropic properties correlated with high critical temperatures.
PhysicsThermal Physics & Statistical Mechanics — PHY294 Notes
Personal lecture notes for the second half of PHY294 (Prof. R. J. Dwayne Miller), structured to flow into further independent study on Bose/Fermi statistics, ensembles, and applications to condensed matter and biophysics.
PhysicsCharge-to-Mass Ratio for the Electron
PHY294 lab report. Measured e/m by observing circular electron-beam trajectories in Helmholtz-coil magnetic fields. Linearized fits at constant voltage and constant current yielded e/m = (1.7 ± 0.2)×1011 C/kg, consistent with the accepted value.
OpticsHolography
PHY294 lab report. Produced a reflection hologram using a 5 mW He–Ne laser, recording interference between incident and object-reflected light on a photographic plate. Measured a spatial-filter transmission efficiency of ~70.9% and reconstructed a three-dimensional image under white-light illumination.
OpticsMichelson Interferometry
PHY294 lab report. Used a Michelson interferometer to measure the wavelength of a green laser, the refractive index of a plastic sample, and the linear thermal-expansion coefficient of an aluminum rod — all via fringe-counting and linear least-squares analysis.
MathematicsOpenStax Calculus — Complete Solutions Manual
A full solutions manual for OpenStax Calculus Vol. 1, typeset in LaTeX. Clear, logically structured solutions designed as a student learning aid to complement the official textbook.
BiologyCalcium-Enhanced Polydopamine Coating for Bacterial Stability
Investigating surface-engineering strategies to improve PGPR survival using polydopamine coatings with calcium ion optimization for sustainable agriculture applications.
PhysicsRydberg Constant and Emission Spectra of Gases
Atomic emission spectra analysis connecting experimental spectroscopy with Bohr model predictions and the Rydberg equation using prism spectrometer calibration.
OpticsInterference and Diffraction of Light
Single-slit diffraction and double-slit interference analysis, extracting slit parameters and connecting to the Heisenberg uncertainty principle.
